BAYROL DPD No.1 Photometer reagent tablets are designed for measuring free chlorine and bromine concentrations in swimming pools and spa water using electronic photometers and other compatible water analysis instruments. The tablets provide accurate measurement of disinfectant levels and help you monitor water quality on a regular basis.

When to use?
- To measure the free chlorine concentration in swimming pool water.
- To measure the bromine concentration in swimming pools or spas.
- Before adjusting the disinfectant dosage.
- As part of regular water quality monitoring.
Instructions for use
- Switch on the photometer and prepare the water sample according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- Fill the test cell to the marked level. It is recommended to collect the water sample approximately 0.5 m from the pool edge and 5–10 cm below the water surface.
- Select the desired measurement mode (Free Chlorine or Bromine).
- Without touching the tablet with your fingers, remove one DPD No.1 Photometer tablet directly from the blister pack and place it into the test cell.
- Allow the tablet to dissolve completely or follow the photometer manufacturer's instructions.
- Perform the measurement according to the photometer instructions and read the result.
Recommendations
It is recommended to check the free chlorine or bromine concentration at least once a week, or more frequently when the pool is heavily used.
- Recommended free chlorine concentration: 0.3–0.6 mg/L.
- Recommended bromine concentration: 3–5 mg/L.
- If the pH is above 7.4, use pH-Minus.
- If the pH is below 7.0, use pH-Plus.
Compatibility
- Suitable for electronic photometers and other water analysis instruments using DPD No.1 Photometer reagent tablets.
- Not suitable for manual Pooltester colour comparator testers.
- Suitable for swimming pools and spa pools.
Safety recommendations
- Never ingest DPD No.1 tablets.
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Do not touch the tablets with your fingers. Remove them directly from the blister pack before placing them into the tester.

Storage
Store the tablets in the original manufacturer's packaging in a cool, dry place. Protect them from moisture, frost, excessive heat and direct sunlight. Do not store together with acids or alkalis.
