Sauna scents – a unique experience and relaxation

The benefits of scents for our bodies have been known for a long time. Different aromas can help us relax, relieve tension, and recharge with positive energy. Sauna scents are an integral part of the sauna ritual, capable of not only improving our well-being but also creating a unique atmosphere.

Sauna scents offer benefits for both physical and mental well-being

As mentioned above, sauna scents truly have a positive effect on our health. Properly selected aromas and the correct method of use can help clear the respiratory tract, promote relaxation, or boost energy levels. When you’re in the sauna with a scent you enjoy, you’ll feel less tension, more calm, and be filled with a positive mood.

Types of sauna scents – a wide selection and usage specifics

There is a wide variety of sauna scents, ranging from essential oils, coniferous wood chips, aromatic essences, and salt bricks to hydrolats, essential oils, scent concentrates, and gels. And while each has a distinct aroma intensity and specific usage instructions, their purpose is the same—to create a wonderful sauna experience for each of you.

On our website, you can find red Canadian cedar shavings, which will give sauna lovers the sensation of sitting in the shade of rustling cedars and achieving deep relaxation. The chips can be used in three ways: by sprinkling them directly onto the stones, placing the chips in special fabric pouches or a ceramic bowl, and placing them next to the stones or on the sauna wall, where the heat helps release the aromas within them. You can also pour boiling water over the Canadian cedar shavings and pour the infused liquid onto the stones.

Fragrant essence for the sauna is a concentrated blend of aromas that is much easier to use than shavings. And using them is truly simple: you can drip a few drops (3–5) directly onto the stones, mix them with a small amount of warm water and pour this mixture over the stones, or add them to a sauna diffuser to enjoy a continuous aroma throughout the entire sauna session.

Salt tiles are becoming increasingly popular in saunas, not only for their wonderful aroma but also for their health benefits. When heated in the sauna, they release natural mineral salt particles that gently purify the air and moisturize the respiratory tract, while the beloved aroma creates an exceptionally relaxing atmosphere. Salt tiles work best when heated, so you can hang them on the wall above the stones or at the top of the sauna, where the heat is most intense.

Natural hydrosol is another type of sauna fragrance, favored by those who prefer more subtle and gentle aromas in the sauna. This product works best when sprayed sparingly directly onto the stones or other wooden surfaces.

Fragrance concentrates for the sauna are a fairly strong blend of one or more aromas, which should be used with extreme caution. To ensure the aroma is pleasant and does not irritate the respiratory tract, it is best to dilute it with water—1–5 drops per 100 ml of water—or use it in a special diffuser.

Essential oils – arguably the most well-known aromatherapy products for the sauna. To make your sauna experience pleasant, we recommend diluting them with water – 3–5 drops per 50–100 ml of water. You can also combine essential oils with a salt brick and vaporize them in a bowl or diffuser designed for aromatherapy by adding a few drops.

Gels – a slightly less well-known but highly effective aromatherapy product for infrared saunas. You don’t need to apply it anywhere or mix it with anything; simply unscrew the cap and place it on a flat surface. The aroma released by the heat will certainly do its job perfectly.

Choose and buy online

When choosing sauna scents, it’s very important to consider the desired outcome: relaxation, improved sleep, clearing the airways, or recharging with positive energy. Also, don’t forget to consider how often you plan to enjoy sauna sessions—this will make it easier to estimate the amount of fragrance you’ll need. Naturally, if you only visit the sauna occasionally, a large package certainly won’t be the best choice.

It’s worth noting that all sauna fragrances can be conveniently purchased online by residents of both Lithuania and other countries. High-quality products, fast delivery, and a pleasant shopping experience help us bring joy to countless sauna lovers every day!
