Skamet is a protective floor plate designed for wood-burning sauna stoves. It is used when the stove is installed on wooden floors or other flooring made of combustible materials. The plate helps protect the floor surface from the heat emitted by the stove. The manufacturer also recommends using it if underfloor heating pipes are installed beneath the stove.

The plate is coated with heat-resistant black paint and features adjustable feet. By adjusting the height of the feet, the plate can be positioned level and stable. The stove should be placed in the centre of the plate; however, during installation, the safety distances to combustible structures specified in the installation instructions for the particular stove must be observed.
