The DM868T is an in-wall music system with a touchscreen and an integrated 8-channel amplifier. It is designed to play and control background music in different audio zones, such as separate rooms. Different audio sources can be selected in two zones, while volume can be adjusted separately in four zones.
Music can be streamed from a phone or another device via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, or played from a TF memory card or USB flash drive. An external audio source connects through the AUX input. DLNA, AirPlay and Qplay protocols are supported for streaming content over a network. The music system connects to a local network via Wi-Fi or a network cable.
The touchscreen measures 8 inches diagonally (approximately 20.3 cm) and has a resolution of 1080 × 1440. It supports multiple simultaneous finger touches and provides direct access to the unit's functions. Automatic power-on and power-off times can be scheduled. Multi-zone control and an intercom function are also supported over the local network. An RS485 connection allows external control of the unit.
The music system delivers an output power of 8 × 10 W and is designed for 8 Ω speakers. The manufacturer separately specifies a music power of 8 × 20 W. The unit runs Android 6.0 and has 2 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage.
TF cards and USB flash drives up to 32 GB are supported. A USB flash drive connects to the Mini USB port through a suitable adapter. The HDMI output transmits video, while a separate audio output sends an audio signal to another device.
The music system installs in a recessed wall mounting box according to the manufacturer's installation diagram.
